Privacy Policy for KipEven

Thank you for using KipEven. This Privacy Policy describes how Codice Apps ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you through our mobile application KipEven (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
For KipEven to work, we need to collect certain data. We do this in the following ways:
a) Information You Provide Directly:
Group Content: Group names, participant names, expense descriptions, amounts, currency, and payments made. (Just for online groups)
Photos (Optional): Images you choose to upload as a group or participant photo.
b) Information We Collect With Your Permission:
Contacts (Optional): If you give us permission, we will access your contact list to help you easily add participants to a group. We only use the name and photo of the specific contact you select; we do not store or share your entire contact list.
c) Information We Collect Automatically:
Usage and Diagnostics Data: We collect basic information about how you interact with the App, as well as crash logs, to identify and fix errors. This helps us improve the stability and user experience.
Purchase Information: If you make an in-app purchase (like buying the PRO version), the store providers (Apple and Google) provide us with a record of that transaction to verify your purchase. We do not have access to your sensitive payment information, such as your credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and maintain the App's core functionality, such as calculating balances and syncing online groups.
Personalize your experience, by displaying your group and participant photos.
Improve and optimize the App, by analyzing usage data and crash reports.
Manage your purchases and unlock PRO features.
Communicate with you for support purposes, if you contact us.
3. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal data. However, we do share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the App:
Cloud Hosting (Vercel): Online group data (names, expenses, etc.) is stored on Vercel KV, and images are stored on Vercel Blob, to allow for synchronization among group members.
In-App Purchase Management (RevenueCat): We use RevenueCat to securely manage and verify in-app purchases through the App Store and Google Play.
Advertising (Google AdMob): In the free version of the App, ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect anonymous data to show relevant advertising.
Analytics & Diagnostics: We may use services like Google Analytics or Sentry to process usage data and crash reports.
4. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)
As a user, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Rectify information that is incorrect or incomplete.
Request the erasure of your data.
To exercise these rights, or if you have any questions about your data, please contact us at info@kipeven.com. For online groups, deletion can be requested by providing the group code. Offline group data is stored solely on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with information without parental consent, please contact us.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All communication between the App and our servers is handled over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS).
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
